Sweet Revenge

For the first time since the Return of the Jedi re-release, I walked out of a Star Wars screening satisfied. "Revenge of the Sith" was a fitting conclusion to Lucas' saga. At times, it was quite intense. It is a galaxy far, far away form "The Phantom Menace," which seemed to have target audience of boys 7 to 10 years old. This was a grown-up movie. In fact, I would even caution parents to preview it before taking the kids, to judge whether the sometimes gruesome violence might be a bit too much for their younglings.
Mostly, the plot was fairly predictable, which is not a complaint at all. We all knew what was coming this time around. One surprise was how much had passed since the end of Episode 2. Now I really do need to go back and watch the Cartoon Network "Clone Wars" series to fill in the gaps.
The 'net certainly doesn't need another movie reviewer, so I'll cut this short. Let it suffice to say that I believe the final chapter of Star Wars is well on it's way to record setting success.
